Can I study in Australia for free?

There is  a wide variety of programs in Australia which allows international students to study in Australia for free. However, certain types of  fees, like the visa fees, may not be included in the student scholarship. There are Some of popular scholarships and awards programs mentioned below :

The Australian Awards: These are Australian Government funded scholarships which aim at promoting links and developing ties with the partnering countries by means of education for the mutual benefit and development. These Awards are available to students in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, and usually requires the recipient students to go back to their home country for 2 years once they are done with their studies in Australia and use the knowledge, skills and competencies  gained during their study time in Australia to contribute to the development of their home country.

International Postgraduate Research Scholarships: This scholarship programme encourages brilliant students to be a part in developing Australia’s research effort. This scholarship is available to the students across the world, except for New Zealand and is available for 2-3years. There are close to 330 IPRS scholarships available every year. 

Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships: These are government funded scholarships and fellowships which are available to the students from  Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. These scholarships are merit-based and give applicants a chance to pursue studies and research while they are in Australia. There are almost 500 Endeavour scholarships  available every year. The Scholarship and fellowship application dates across the universities change every year.
