Italy is the sixth largest market in the world for robots, and it is the fifth largest global producer of such technologies. In fact, it is progressing promisingly in cloud computing and other new technologies crucial to digital innovation.

For its technological advancement, Italy is focusing on increasing its economic ties by strategic collaboration. In manufacturing high end products with the use of new innovative technology, an agreement took place between ITA and Chinese e-commerce firm Suning, after Carlo Ferro took Presidency of ITA in 2019.
