About your offers
Universities can take anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks to get back to you with an offer. When you open your email and see your offer don’t panic! There are 5 kinds of offers that you might receive.
- Conditional Offer: This offer is made when you have met most of the entry criteria of the university and you have yet to send some pending documents. This could be academic, letters of reference and or proof of medium of study - English Language requirement
- Unconditional Offer: This offer is made when you have sent all documents and meet all the entry requirements.
- Unsuccessful or Withdrawn Offer: This kind of notification could be either from the university or you can withdraw your application as well. In most cases the university will mark your offer as unsuccessful if you do not attend the mandatory interview, assessment or audition.
- Rejection Offer: When you have not met any of the entry requirements of the university.
- Course Full : When the number of seats on the program have been filled.
- Deferred Offer : Is what you request for if for some unforeseen circumstances you are unable to join the university in the intake you originally planned.
- Waitlisted Offer : Being given a waitlisted offer means that the course you have applied for has had a lot of applications where offers have been made. The university usually issues waitlisted offers to those students who they feel will make a great addition to the class. However since the number of offers already made is high, universities wait for students to confirm their acceptance to ensure they do not have more than the class can take. If the number of students accepting their offers is high, chances are you will not get off the waitlist.
When you have zeroed in on which university you would like to attend, you need to accept the offer that has been made to you. Different universities ask you to accept the offer in different ways. You can accept your offer by

Some offers come with deadlines to accept them. It is important that you keep this in mind while making your decisions. Popular programs tend to fill up faster!
