Psychometrics for teams
Our Psychometric assessment helps provide a better understanding of your team members. Tools/Assessment tests such as JTI or 15FQ+ or JTI provide information on each team member and how they are similar or different from others in the team - the team ‘DNA’.
These personality tests help teams work out where strengths and weaknesses may be occurring in team collaboration. Reports are provided in both individual and team group format with insights for 1-1 coaching as well as team building. Once the team members are aware of their team ‘DNA’, they can self-manage to become more effective and productive.
Because psychometric data is completely objective, without any personal bias, it becomes easier for the team to gain acceptance to the feedback. This leads to a higher chance of actual behavior change among the team members and therefore a higher impact on team performance.
Using the right psychometric assessments can have a huge positive impact on the team’s effectiveness, productivity and development.
Belbin’s work on team roles showed that the reasons why some teams succeed, while others fail could be attributed to the ‘personality roles’ people preferred to play in a team. However, these preferences aren’t something the employees show as it is a subconscious preference. The 15FQ+ tool provides individual and group reports on team styles and roles so that you can spot where there may be weaknesses in your teams’ personality diversity and make adjustments.
Our JTI (similar to MBTI) can be used for in-depth understanding of work styles and how they affect work-based behavior choices. Knowledge of these preferences allows employees to understand one another and collaborate more effectively, resulting in higher productivity.
A psychometric assessment aims to provide measurable, objective data that can provide a better all-round view of a candidate's suitability too Some organisations often favour psychometric assessments as a way of screening large numbers of candidates at the start of a recruitment drive.
Psychometric testing gives a good overall picture of a person. They give an idea of the candidate's personality what makes them tick and how they prefer to work in given situations, how they work under pressure and if they tend to be more productive working alone or as part of a team
Psychometric companies offer a wide range of psychometric tests (aptitude tests, personality tests and skill tests) with different difficulty and complexity levels. The combination of psychometric assessments you will take and their level of difficulty are typically matched to that of a graduate role in legal.
