The documentation process begins at two fronts - one is the EB-5 Investment side for which we at TC Global help the investors do the basic onboarding documentation by executing the subscription documents. The other is the legal side of the US EB-5 investment for which a checklist is provided by the law firm to the immigrant investor, who then is required to furnish the documents based on his/her Source of Fund (SoF) strategy which is determined with the Immigration Attorney. The USCIS also does a background check on the investors’ immigration and criminal records. At the second stage of the EB-5 Program, which involves filing the I-829 petition to have the conditions of the Green Card removed, the investors are required to show that a minimum of 10 new full-time jobs was created in the Targeted Employment Area (TEA) for a minimum of 2 years since investment with our partner Regional Center. This requirement is met by the Regional Center/Asset Manager to fulfill the conditions of the EB-5 Conditional Green Card.
