Eligibility requirements for International students to study in France
France is well known for its excellent postgraduate study programs in its private as well as public universities with very nominal tuition fees. The french government has opened its doors to enroll more and more international students who want to study in France. This has led to an increase in the number of international students studying in France and thus making France a highly considered option for higher education.
Eligibility Requirements – For undergraduate Courses in French Universities:
It is obligatory to meet all the eligibility criteria for the Undergraduate Courses before applying for these courses in the French Universities.
a) The student must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
b) It is required to have the French baccalaureate or an equivalent degree
c) For UG Admissions in French universities it is required the student to pass the University admission examination from the home country.
d) The candidates are also required to submit the english language proficiency (IELTS/ TOEFL) scores.
Eligibility Requirements – For Postgraduate Courses in French universities
To secure a seat at a French university, one must satisfy the following criteria:
a) The Students must have the relevant Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent degree diploma.
b) The students who are applying for the doctoral program must possess the master’s degree or relevant diploma
c) French Universities will often require the scores of the standardized tests like GRE, GMAT, SAT etc.
d) It may be possible that a French university will provide admission on the basis of the interview level.
e) It is also required to submit the academic certificates. These transcripts must be certified by the institution that granted the student’s existing degree.
Post satisfying the eligibility criteria, an international student can look at the university application process and thereafter student visa application process for the chosen academic year.
