International students are required to pay “out of state” tuition fees, however as beneficiaries of the EB 5 Visa or as green card holders, international students would qualify for “in-state” tuition fees which is a substantial amount of savings.
Under the EB 5 Program, once you receive your green card there are:
- No restrictions to live, study or work anywhere in the United States.
- The investors’ families receive the same rights as the natural citizens of the country, except voting rights and access to the US Government Jobs.
- The tuition fee for the family members wanting to study at the U.S. public universities goes down to 1/3rd of the amount for in-state residents, as compared to international students.
The EB 5 Investor needs to know that under the EB5 program you have initial access to the United States on a conditional basis which is then converted to a permanent residency and even under the conditional basis you have the right to the aforementioned benefits. You may have access to voting rights and government jobs upon attaining the US citizenship.
