To have access to the United States on a Green Card under the EB 5 program, the minimum capital investment required currently stands at USD 900,000, if the project is located in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) in a Non-Targeted employment area the amount would be USD 1.8 million. TEA are locations where there is a need for job creation due to high unemployment. Given the influence of the TEA on the investment amount, most Regional centers work on raising capital for projects located in these areas. Other than the investment amount, foreign investors also need to look out for the Job creation criteria, as per which there have to be at least 10 new full-time jobs that have to be created. These are a few eligibility criteria that an Investor needs to meet to have success in their EB 5 Visa application.
