Students staying outside Australia need to obtain an Australian student visa to enter Australia for which they need to complete an Australian student visa application form, pay the visa application fee, and perhaps attend an interview
All the international students are supposed to apply for the same visa, which is the Student Visa (Subclass 500). All the visa applications are to be processed online
Before applying for a visa, a student needs to obtain a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) or a Letter of Offer confirming you have been accepted into a course registered at the university. A student may also need to pay a deposit towards the tuition fees. One can change course afterwards to study in Australia at the same or a higher study level.
Australian government student visa requirement:
Just like other countries, including the United States, New Zealand, United Kingdom, the student visa applications take about 4 weeks to process. When completing your online student visa application form, you’ll need to provide evidence of the following according to the Australian student visa requirements:

You can enter Australia on your student visa up to 90 days before your course starts. You must inform your university of your accommodation within seven days of arrival, and also inform them within 7 days if you plan to change the address.
While you are on a student visa, you can work up to 40 hours per fortnight during term time, and full-time in the holidays. Although the student visa subclass is automatically issued with permission to work, as per the Australian government, you are not allowed to start working until your course has started and should not only rely on part time work to support yourself and the family.
