The government of France consists of presidential and parliamentary systems with great political traditions in the system. The political environment of France comprises an executive branch, a legislative branch and a judicial branch.

The French government system has a President as well as a Prime Minister. The Prime Minister is mainly responsible for the French Parliament. The President, as head of state and head of the executive, has more rights compared to the other leaders in the system.

Currently the Political Leaders are Emmanuel Macron, the President and Élisabeth Borne, the Prime Minister.

 The French parliament comprises the National Assembly and the Senate which are responsible for passing statutes and also votes on the budget. It is interesting to know that the former presidents of France also are the members of the Council.

France is a unitary state. It’s administrative subdivisions have various legal functions which the national government does not interfere with.

France has struggled with high unemployment since the 2008 global economic social and financial crisis. It’s main economic challenge is to pull up its business environment and tackle its high rate of unemployment, increase competitiveness, and combat slow growth.
