Application Process for Australia
Applying to overseas universities is easy, however it can be time consuming and would require a lot of planning. A student can also seek advice and required help from the applied university.
Some steps for the course application process in Australia are as follows:
- Choose the course and the university
While choosing, you should consider the entry requirements, location, campus size, accessibility, international student support services, placements provided by the university. Once you have decided the course, look out for universities that offer them.
- Apply to the desired university
Check educational requirements and English language proficiency entry requirements to increase your chances of getting selected. Keeping a note of important deadlines is important too. You can apply to universities online or through post too.
- Processing your application
It can take a few weeks for the university to assess your application and notify you of the results. Usually postgraduate applications take longer to get processed.
- Offer Acceptance
You will receive an Offer Letter and an Acceptance form, if you are accepted by the university.
You should check if there are any conditions mentioned in the offer letter because they are supposed to be met before a Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE) certificate is issued out to the student. In some cases, you may be required to pay the tuition fees too.
- Departure
After accepting the university offer, you need to apply for the student visa, which can be done using Offer Letter or CoE. You would also need to arrange for your accommodation, medical insurance and of course, the plane tickets.
